Real Madrid are looking for a third consecutive victory in the UEFA Champions League final when they face Liverpool in Kyiv.

Two of the biggest names in European football are at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium, while Real Madrid are aiming for a 13th C1, the third consecutive, against a Liverpool team that is on the last step of the competition for the first time since 11 years, looking for a sixth triumph.

• A victory in the Ukrainian capital would allow Real to become the fourth team to win the trophy three times in a row and the first to achieve this feat twice after its successes between 1956 and 1960. Ajax (1971-73) and Bayern (1974-76) are the other clubs author of the triplet.

• Zinedine Zidane can also become the first coach to hold the trophy three times in three years.

• For Cristiano Ronaldo, the top scorer in the history of the event, it could be the fifth victory. It would be a first in the Champions League era.

• Liverpool beat Real 1-0 in the 1981 final. Goal by Alan Kennedy. This is also the last defeat of Real in the final, it is also the only time a Spanish club lost a final against an English club.
