FC Barcelona made the difference in the first half against Getafe. Sergi Roberto gave the Blaugranas the lead in the second minute, before Sandro Ramirez equalized. Memphis Depay scored again to allow his team to lead 2-1, a score that Barca kept until the end of the game.
The third day of Liga continued this Sunday. FC Barcelona hosted Getafe, still looking for their first points this season, after defeats to Valencia (1-0) and Sevilla (0-1). Barcelona wanted to return to victory after being held in check by Athletic Bilbao last week (1-1). Ronald Koeman had been forced to change almost all his defence for this match. Piqué, Garcia and Dest were replaced by Araujo, Lenglet and Emerson. In midfield, Pedri was replaced by Roberto while the attacking trio Braithwaite, Griezmann, Depay were again lined up. Getafe pushes but fails to equalise
