Twelve years later, he is back. The five-time Ballon d’Or Cristiano Ronaldo is back at the Theatre of Dreams, twelve years after leaving him to join Real Madrid.

“Manchester United is delighted to announce that the club has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to an agreement on personal terms, visa and medical check,” Manchester United announced in an official statement.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new contract binds him to Manchester United until 2023, that is, for two seasons. At 36, the Portuguese international will live a new experience at the top of European football with the intention of winning the Champions League once again.

According to initial media reports, the transfer of the Portuguese player would amount to 15 million euros, plus 8 million euros in bonuses.

12 years after leaving Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo signed for a club with which he had already made 292 official appearances, and scored 118 goals. In Manchester, he won the first of his five Ballons d’Or, in 2008.

During these 292 games, Cristiano scored 118 goals and provided 33 assists, and won a total of ten titles(including three Premier Leagues and one Champions League). Today he returns to once again glory for the Red Devils, now coached by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Juventus after three years. Juventus has not yet issued a statement regarding the departure of the Portuguese, and the details of the transfer that brought him to the Theater of Dreams are therefore not yet officially known.
