Slowly but surely, Cristiano Ronaldo is gaining power in Turin. The Portuguese scored his third goal of the season on Sunday, closing the 5th day. The one that allows his team to open the score at Frosinone (0-2). Federico Bernardeschi doubled the bet. The Old Lady is of course still the leader of the league after having won this fifth consecutive victory.

Juventus Turin is received five out of five. With a slightly modified team (Blaise Matuidi and Leonardo Bonucci were on the starting bench), the Bianconeri scored their fifth success in as many Serie A games this Sunday. Long held in check, the Piedmontese formation finally came to an end with Frosinone (0-2). Opportunist Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring ten minutes before the end of the game (81′). Federico Bernardeschi then pushed the nail into the additional time (90 ‘ +4).

Weekend after week-end, the same scenario repeats itself : the Juventus Turin is not especially flamboyant, Cristiano Ronaldo does not fly over the debates but, at the end, the Old Lady always takes the three points. The course of Massimiliano Allegri’s players continued on Sunday, on the side of Frosinone. However, it was not until the last ten minutes of the game that the situation began to settle in favour of the visitors. For despite a possession largely to their advantage (73%), the Turin had difficulty in finding faults in the valiant defense of the Canarini.

CR7, from tears to laughter

As could be expected, the light came from Cristiano Ronaldo. Last Wednesday in Valencia, the quintuple Ballon d’or left his teammates in tears after being expelled. The Portuguese found a smile on the ground of the stade Benito-Stirpe. Closely tied by the opposing defense and upset several times by Marco Sportiello (7th, 20th, 63rd), the former Madrid didn’t abdicate. He was rewarded for his efforts by cheating doorman giallazzurro with a left cover, scoring his third goal of the season in Serie A.

CR7 was also at the origin of the counter which led to the coup de grace, carried out by Federico Bernardeschi. Four days after its success in Valencia in the Champions League (0-2), Juve did the job on the national stage. Admittedly, defeating a promoted player who still hasn’t scored a single goal since the start of the season is not, in itself, exceptional. This ability to chain victories, regardless of the context, is nevertheless remarkable. If they want to have a small chance to win the Scudetto, the competitors of the Bianconeri will have very little room for error.
